Breaking strength of each buckle is approx. 50 kg (110 lbs.)
Tamrac

|
[H163 or H167] Suspender Adapter for H717 X-harness
If you only need something to hold your belt up, then choose the H344 above. If you need to carry a camera on your chest and also want suspenders, then choose the H717 + H163. If you want a super heavy-duty 4-point suspender solution, then choose the H717 + H167, but carrying a heavy camera in front is problematic with this configuration.

Instead of using a full-on shoulder harness, consider slinging a Y315 strap across your chest and over one shoulder. Attach it to two side D-rings of a holster case (Y315 attached to C500 in photo).

[Y303] Pouch to Generic Pack Adapter, $ 6.00
Hang a holster case or E330 pouch unto a non-Kinesis backpack (non-Kinesis holster or zoom case will work as long as it has a pair of D-rings). Adding a H152 strap around your torso helps stabilize the load, especially when hiking on steep terrain or scrambling on rough terrain (H152 not shown in this photo).

Effective November 2004, we renamed our K-series harnesses with an "H" prefix, (K250 became H250, K160 became H160 etc.).
H-series & old K-series are completely compatible, only the name has changed.
Packframes (formerly called K560, K570 etc.) are now on the
P-Series (Packs) page. |
